X Li releases new single, “think i’m in love with you”

Los Angeles’ X Li recently released their new single “think i’m in love with you” that sets out to “capture the essence of LAs nightlife and the enchantment that comes with unexpected encounters.”

This song was inspired by the story of love at first sight; the enchanting encounter of falling in love with a girl met at an afterparty. It blends modern production and live instruments with the nostalgic vibes of 80s synth-pop. This song is a bestseller in web3: It broke NFT records, outsold Snoop Dogg, ranked on the Billboard Top 10 NFT chart & ranked #1 on the TikTok China chart. “Think im in love with u” is a testament to X Li’s talent and creativity, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Weeknd, Girl In Red, Billie Eilish, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, and Vampire Weekend. While keeping his own unique style, X Li effortlessly captures the essence of these acclaimed artists in their music.

Introducing “Tumbled” – Nancy Moore’s new Americana album

In the heart of the Americana-rock landscape, where the soul of storytelling meets the resonance of Rock, Nancy Moore has unfurled her debut EP, “Tumbled,” in 2023. This six-track masterpiece is a testament to Moore’s songwriting prowess, her magnetic voice, and a fusion of influences that span from Philly Soul to iconic rock bands like The Byrds, The Moody Blues, and Blue Öyster Cult. Each song on “Tumbled” is a unique journey, with Moore’s voice soaring above arrangements that evolve from Americana to full-throttle rock, leaving an indelible mark on the listener’s heart.

Hailing from Charlotte, NC, a city known for its thriving live-music scene and showcasing remarkable songwriters, Nancy Moore’s journey into music is a captivating one. Her musical roots are traced back to Philadelphia, where the Philly Soul sound left an indelible imprint on her artistic sensibilities. However, it was the seminal rock bands that stirred her soul and ignited her passion for storytelling through music. Moore’s upbringing is a rich tapestry woven from diverse influences, including the timeless works of Jimmy Webb and Carole King, the captivating sounds of Sheryl Crow and Oasis, and the synth-driven beats of The Human League.

Nancy Moore’s songwriting journey began just five years ago, when she picked up the guitar again after a decades-long hiatus. The result is “Tumbled,” an EP that not only showcases her remarkable songcraft but also her compelling voice and ability to connect with the listener on an emotional level.

On “Tumbled,” Moore is joined by a talented ensemble of musicians, including 2023 Country Music Award nominee Tim Galloway on mandolin, banjo, and acoustic guitar. The collaboration extends to the likes of Scotty Saunders on steel guitar, Russel Wilson on drums, David Harper on keyboard, Bryan Shumate on electric guitar, synth, percussion, and backing vocals, and Eddie Snuggs on bass. Snuggs, who also engineered and mixed the EP, ensures that every sonic nuance is expertly captured, while Shumate’s production prowess elevates the record to new heights.

The opening track of “Tumbled” exudes an Americana charm that draws listeners in with its warmth and heartfelt storytelling. Moore’s voice takes center stage, guiding the listener through tales of love, life, and the intricacies of human experience. As the EP unfolds, it metamorphoses into a full-throttle rock experience, culminating in the electrifying “Where Can Delaney Be,” where Moore’s voice rises to its zenith over a thrilling musical arrangement.

In our enlightening interview with Nancy, she provided invaluable insights into the creation of “Tumbled” and its profound meaning. Her explanations shed light on the EP’s themes and the personal stories behind each track, adding a layer of depth and connection that enriches the listening experience.

This Week’s Tunes

Jai Wolf ft. MNDR – Like It’s Over
I was recently given a great opportunity to work on a song for Jai Wolf. I’ve been a fan for a while, but never really did a deep dive until recently. Very simple, but powerful melodies!

Dynoro & Gigi D’Agostino – In My Mind
This is a great cover of the classic popularized by Swedish House Mafia. My yoga teacher played this in the middle of class last week, and it’s all I could think about through the remaining vinyasas until I could ask her to see the playlist!

Oliver ft. Sam Sparro – Last Forever (Destructo Remix)
After his ordeal with HARD/Live Nation, I’m happy to see Gary is still making music as Destructo! This is a solid, groovy disco track.
